PARTY MEMBERSHIP

Along with your club membership, you must make a donation to the party. The majority of members elect to pay through us which can be paid together with your annual renewal. For 2007, the Central Party Office is changing the way it runs it's membership to help put them on a sound financial footing. Further details can be found on the notice board.

The minimum full subscription has been £15 for the past 8 years but as from 2007 renewals will increase to £25. This has been confirmed as unchanged for 2008.

If you elect to pay less than £25, you will become a registered supporter of the party and still be entitled to club membership although you will not have the benefits of full party membership. Below are some of the benefits of having full party membership.

Each full member has right to

·        A vote in the election of the party leader

·        A vote to approve the programme on which the party will fight the next election.

·        A vote in the selection of candidates for Westminster European and local government elections and in policy ballots.

·        Annual Reports from the party leader, the party chairman and constituency associations.

·        Direct influence in the development of policy on the subject of choice.

·        The chance to meet like-minded people.

·        The chance to influence the future for the member, his or her family and for our country.
