WELCOME TO ROYSTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB

 


and welcome to Royston Conservative Club's web site.

We are of course a political club, but as you would expect, the club is a social base for members and does not directly involve itself in any of the political issues of the day.  We are of course happy to help our friends from the Association in any way we can, for example, offering the use of club premises during elections or for monthly meetings.  If you are particularly interested in the political side then please see our pages on the Association.

We currently have approximately 800 members and along with all small clubs these days, only a relatively small minority use the facilities. Trying to find the right balance between membership numbers and members who wish to use the club is a never-ending task.

This is your club and if there is anything that you feel should be provided, please do not hesitate to contact the Secretary, Wilf Leadbeater or any of the relevant sub committee chairpersons or indeed myself directly. For your convenience we now have an on line feedback page where you may leave comments. These will be promptly acknowledged by the Club Secretary and as appropriate, a more detailed  response will be given subject to review by the committee. Alternatively we still have the suggestion box in the club. All we ask is that your name and membership number are quoted in order for us to give a full response. Our restaurant continues to go from strength to strength and is available for lunches and dinners along with private parties. Our chef Peter Neville will be pleased to discuss any specific requirements you may have.

There are several notice boards in the club all providing information on forthcoming events, raffles etc. Additionally, we publish a newsletter issued 3 times a year, also available on line, and maintain this web site which is frequently updated.

Please do take a little time to read  these web pages.  I hope you will find them both useful and informative.  Again please feel free to comment if you think we should be covering any other issues - your feedback would be appreciated.

Finally, I hope you make full use of your membership of Royston Conservative Club - I have been told on many occasions that it is the best Club in town.  I trust that you agree and will help me to maintain that position.  I look forward to meeting with you very soon.
