CONSERVATIVE ASSOCIATION
As you are aware, Royston Conservative Club and the local branch of the Conservative Association are closely linked. This is due mainly to the fact that all club members are also paid-up members of the local Conservative Association
So, just what does your local branch do?
First and foremost, the branch fights elections, helping to return our local MP, Oliver Heald to Parliament. It also supports local Conservative candidates in county, district and town council elections.
It is during these campaigns that we need your help and, additionally we need your support at fund raising events which raise the cash needed to pay for these campaigns. All club members are members of the association and are welcome at all our events, details are posted on the clubhouse notice board, please look out for them. We currently have some events arranged for 2008 as follows:
March 2008 (date to be
confirmed) - Race night, Derek Walker Room.
Sunday 18th May 2008 - Treasure walk round Royston with drinks after in club.
Friday end of June/early July (date to be confirmed) - Pimms and more evening...
November 2008 - Annual Dinner.
